Requirement: Male students who have secured GPA 2.5 and above and female students who have secured GPA 2.0 and above and have obtained admission a recognized institute for continued study.

Those students who have already received scholarship in the previous year need to re-apply along with proof of having passed the previous academic year with acceptable GPA.

Average Family income less than Tk.5000/- per month.
Facility: Tk.2000/- per month for a maximum of four years for Undergraduate students and Tk.500/- per month for a maximum two years for Higher Secondary Students.

Apply Procedure: Application on plain paper giving applicants Name, Gender, Name of parent (Muktijodha), residential address temporary and permanent, Telephone number, mobile number.

Two passport size color photograph of the applicants.

Family income certificate duly signed by Chairman of Village/UNO/TNO/any 1st Class Gazetted Officer.

Proof of residence duly attested by Chairman of Chairman of Village/UNO/TNO/any 1st Class Gazetted Officer.

Certificate stating that the Applicant is a direct descendant of Muktijodha ( quoting gazette number) duly signed by Chairman of Village/UNO/TNO/any 1st Class Gazetted Officer.

Name of Educational Institution, Proof of admission and attested copy of applicable mark sheet.

Photocopy of voter/National ID card.

Special Note: Applicantion are invited from direct descendants of Muktijodhas, who are pursuing undergraduate and Higher Secondary studies in Bangladesh, for award of Annual Scholarships by the Government of India for Academic year 2009-2010.

Applications must reach High Commission of India, House # 02, Road # 142, Gulshan-1, Dhaka-1212, Bangladesh before 31 August, 2009.

Interview of selected applicants will be held at High Commission of India, Premises in second week of September 2009. Dates for interview will be intimated to the applicants.

The Government of India, reserves the right to reject any or all applications received without assigning any reason.
